Is everything in your store organic?
Not exactly. While we have always committed to selling a variety of baby products that we consider to be eco-friendly, healthy and ethically-made, they are not always necessarily organic. When we first opened, these items were very difficult to find and were mostly available only online. Our goal was to help increase awareness and demand for conscientiously made products and make them accessible at a brick and mortar store. Mission accomplished :)

I have a product that I think should be sold at baby on the hip. How can I get in touch with the owners?
While there are thousands of wonderful baby products out there, we unfortunately can’t carry them all. Therefore, we use strict criteria when reviewing new lines. If you have a product that you think should be sold at baby on the hip please ensure that it’s either organic, locally made, fair-trade, or otherwise eco-friendly. Then, send an e-mail to info@babyonthehip.ca with a product description, website, and contact information. We review these e-mails on a regular basis and we will contact you if we’re interested in carrying the line.

Your website says an item is out of stock. How can I find out when you’ll have it again?
Just e-mail or call us and we can let you know when we expect our order to arrive. We can also call you when the product is back in stock to save you from having to follow up.

I would like to make a product suggestion, how can I do that?
We appreciate receiving suggestions from parents who love a product because if you love it, then it probably means other parents will too. Send your suggestions and we’ll keep them in mind. If you have any feedback, positive or negative, about a product you purchased at our store, please let us know. We’re always happy to hear what you think. Click here to send us suggestions.

There’s a product I’m looking for but I don’t see it on your website. Do you stock more/different items in your store?
Our website lists most of our products, however we do have more available in our brick and mortar store. If you’re looking for a specific item, feel free to call or e-mail and we can let you know if we have it. Depending on the product, we may also be able to order it in for you. Just ask and we’ll see what we can do!

I’m not familiar with your location, how can I get directions?
We’re located at 969 queen st east, between carlaw and pape. The store is very easy to access from the don valley parkway and the gardiner expressway. If you turn left onto carlaw from lakeshore and turn right on queen, our store is the next block up. If you need more specific directions, just call us!

How much do you charge for shipping?
Shipping rates are a flat rate according to where you live. Please click here for rates.

I have ordered something online from your store and I am unsatisfied with it. What should I do?
Baby on the hip is happy to exchange or offer store credit for any items purchased in the store or online. We do not provide refunds. Exchanges must be made within 30 days accompanied by a receipt and must include original packaging, tags, and still be in re-sellable condition. All sale items are final sale. I received an item from your store as a gift. Am I able to exchange it?
Our regular return policy applies for gifts as well. If you have a gift receipt please bring it, however as with other purchases, if you do not have a receipt, the lowest price at which this item has been sold with be applied to a store credit. This does not include registries as we do maintain a record of registry purchases.

How long will it take for my online order to arrive?
If you live within the GTA, your order will be shipped by Fedex within 3-5 business days. A tracking # will be provided to you when a purchase is made online. If you would like a tracking # provided to you for an order made over the phone, please let us know when placing the order.

Do you ship to the US?
We are happy to ship items to the U.S. The shipping rate for all U.S. orders is a $15 fee. Baby on the hip is not responsible for orders held at international borders for custom’s purposes.

I'm interested in working at baby on the hip. Are you accepting applications?
We’re always looking for enthusiastic people to join our team at baby on the hip. We provide flexible hours, If you’d like to work here, please send your resume and availability to info@babyonthehip.ca. Resumes are reviewed regularly and we will contact you if we are interested in scheduling an interview.

Do you offer a discount to parents with multiples?
Baby on the hip has always provided parents who have multiples a discount of 10% towards any purchase made in the store. Please let us know when you are making a purchase that you have multiples, and we’ll apply the discount. This discount is not valid towards online purchases.

I’m interested in buying a carrier. Can I come to the store and try on the different styles?
At baby on the hip, we have all the carriers available for you to try on with or without your baby, in order to find the best fit for you. Even better, we have highly trained and knowledgeable staff who have found the perfect style and fit for hundreds of parents. Drop in anytime during store hours and we will help you find the best carrier for you.
